TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics - from science to business to global issues - in more than 110 languages. TED talks are a way to explore interesting and innovative ideas by listening to passionate and committed proponents. The Narragansett Historical Society is very pleased to announce the publication, "History of Narragansett, RI, from 1800-1999 - A Chronology of Major Events." This publication aims to spur interest and further research into Narragansett's rich history. Professor Richard Vangermeersch will present "Learnings from a Chronology: Interesting Tidbits from Narragansett's History." Conversation and exchange of ideas will be encouraged. The presentation will be facilitated by Sue Bush. The presentation is scheduled for Saturday, March 25th from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM at the Maury Loontgens Memorial Library. This event is co-sponsored by the Maury Loontgens Memorial Library and The Narragansett Historical Society. Attendance is free, but registration is requested.
